Jon is no stranger to International Beatleweek. Having made his debut in 1990 with his band Instant Karma, he has been a mainstay of the festival ever since with his tribute to John Lennon. In 2007, Jon was one of the first inductees into Liverpool’s Beatleweek Hall of Fame for his outstanding contribution to the festival and this is his 25th year! He is now a director of Cavern city Tours, but still performs five solo acoustic gigs a week in the Cavern as one of their resident artistes, paying tribute to John and the Beatles, plus all the other greats who have played this legendary venue. In May, Jon and the rest of the Cavern team travelled to Louisville, Kentucky for ‘Abbey Road On The River’ with Jon performing several shows paying tribute to John as part of the festival’s ‘Lennon 75th Birthday Celebration’.
