Best known as the MTV Award-winning frontman, lead vocalist and songwriter of legendary Turkish rock band maNga, Ferman Akgül has built an extraordinary career spanning music, television, literature, film and visual arts. With chart-topping success across Turkey and internationally, he is recognised as one of the country’s most influential contemporary artists.
Born in Ankara, Turkey, Ferman rose to international prominence with maNga, whose unique blend of alternative rock, electronic music and Anatolian influences earned them critical acclaim and a devoted global following. Alongside his work with the band, Ferman has established himself as a successful solo artist, releasing his acclaimed debut album Yürüyorum İçimde and a series of successful singles.
Beyond music, Ferman’s creative achievements include directing music videos, hosting television programmes, acting in award-winning theatre productions and publishing his first collection of short stories, Osmanlı Cadısı Tirnova. In 2016, he co-founded independent label 06 Records, dedicated to artist development, music festivals and discovering new talent.
