The Museum of Liverpool

Experience the spirit of one of Liverpool’s most beloved music nights as Ian Prowse and The Monday Club take the stage for a special live showcase.

For more than 15 years The Monday Club at the Cavern Pub has been the beating heart of Liverpool’s grassroots music scene – a unique night built on one simple rule: no cover versions, only original music. Its welcoming, inclusive spirit has drawn legendary songwriters and rising stars alike, making it one of the most celebrated songwriter nights anywhere in the UK.

Hosted by Merseyside favourite Ian Prowse, often dubbed the ‘Scouse Springsteen’, the evening will feature special guests from the Monday Club community alongside a powerful set from Ian himself, drawn from his acclaimed career with Pele, Amsterdam and his acclaimed solo work.

Known for his passionate songwriting and electrifying live performances, Ian has shared stages with artists from Elvis Costello to The Levellers and has captivated audiences at festivals including Glastonbury and Reading.

Expect a night of great songs, great stories, and the unmistakable Liverpool spirit that has made The Monday Club a legendary fixture of the city’s music scene.

This one off event is in collaboration with The Cavern Club, as part of National Museums Liverpool’s Summer of Sound – a six week music programme.
