Vicky McClure’s Our Dementia Choir Returns to The Cavern Club
Vicky McClure’s Our Dementia Choir returns to the iconic Cavern Club in Liverpool on Tuesday 10 November 2026 for its fourth annual benefit concert, featuring a special evening of Beatles music, inspirational stories and uplifting performances.
Join us for a moving celebration of the power of music, bringing people together through the timeless songs of The Beatles. Conducted by Daniela Smith and coordinated by Jessica Johnson, the choir will perform an inspiring medley of Beatles classics at the legendary Mathew Street venue where Liverpool’s musical history lives on.
Now celebrating its fourth appearance at The Cavern Club, this special evening highlights the role music can play in supporting people living with dementia and other memory-related conditions.
Free entry with donations encouraged
The concert is free to attend in the Cavern Club Live Lounge, with guests encouraged to make a donation in support of dementia awareness and music therapy initiatives.
A Special Evening of Beatles Music and Inspiration
Hosted by Simon Weitzman of FAB Days CIC and Fan Film, the evening celebrates the lasting connection between Beatles music, community and wellbeing.
Simon is the filmmaker behind A Love Letter to The Beatles and Real Love: The Story of International Beatleweek. Through FAB Days CIC and Fan Film, he and his team have worked to bring Beatles music and instruments into care homes and rehabilitation centres across the UK, helping enrich the lives of people living with dementia and other memory-related conditions, as well as people recovering from brain injuries.
Keeping the Healing Power of Music Alive
The initiative was originally inspired by former Cavern Club owner Bill Heckle, who envisioned a Beatles-themed care home experience. That vision continues through the work of Simon Weitzman and his team, who are developing a not-for-profit Beatles music programme for rehabilitation centres across the UK and beyond.
Beatles historian Mark Lewisohn first proposed celebrating November as a meaningful month in Beatles history, providing an opportunity to honour the band’s legacy through music, kindness and community.
Proudly Supported by Liverpool West Productions
Liverpool West Productions proudly sponsors the concert for the fourth time, supporting The Cavern Club’s film interests in the USA and the production of Real Love: The Story of International Beatleweek.
