LIVERPOOL ‼️ Scottish punk/new wave legends The Rezillos are coming to The Cavern Club in 2026.
Formed in Edinburgh in 1976, The Rezillos crashed onto the scene with their independent debut single ‘I Can’t Stand My Baby’, which quickly became an underground favourite thanks to airplay from BBC Radio 1’s John Peel.
They followed it up with a run of classic singles – ‘My Baby Does Good Sculptures’, ‘Top of the Pops’ and ‘Destination Venus’ – cementing their reputation as one of the most exciting and inventive bands of the punk era.
The band recorded their landmark album ‘Can’t Stand the Rezillos’ at New York’s famed Power Station studio, soaking up the city’s energy and even jumping onstage at legendary club CBGB’s during downtime. The record hit the UK Top 10 and is still hailed as a bona fide punk classic.
Now The Rezillos bring that high-energy, technicolour punk/new wave chaos to Mathew Street for a rare Cavern Club appearance.
