Bittersweet Home presents Definitely Believe The Truth — a landmark evening of conversation, stories and live music at the legendary Cavern Club, Mathew Street, featuring two of rock’s most influential rhythm makers: Zak Starkey and Tony McCarroll.
This rare event brings together generations of British music culture inside one of the most iconic venues in the world. From Britpop to stadium rock, Starkey and McCarroll take to the Cavern stage for an intimate, in-depth conversation exploring life behind the drum kit, the music that shaped them, and the stories that shaped rock history.
The evening is hosted by Kyle Dale of Bittersweet Home, described by HELLO! Magazine as “The Curator of Cool 2025”, known for creating cultural moments that shine a light on the people and stories behind the music.
Live Performances
Following the conversation, the night continues with live music from three outstanding artists on the rise:
Ryder
The Sunderland-born indie rock force who took 2025 by storm with debut album Only The Brave. Their breakout single Broken Footsteps features a cameo from Zak Starkey on drums. Managed by Kyle Dale and signed to Nick Brine’s Flip Flop Records, Ryder blend Britpop energy with modern indie grit, delivering anthems built for live rooms like the Cavern.
Leah Wilcox
Making her Cavern Club debut, Leah Wilcox is a rising voice in the British indie scene. Blending dreamy alt-folk textures with indie rock edge and heartfelt lyricism, she has earned BBC Introducing support and festival acclaim. A performance filled with intimacy, emotion and atmosphere.
The Indigos
Hailing from Ireland, The Indigos bring soulful grooves and vibrant dynamism, adding another layer of energy to an already stacked lineup.
