International Beatleweek Festival 2022 celebrates John & George at The Philharmonic Hall

This show honours the 50th anniversary of George Harrison’s iconic and ground-breaking fundraising concert Concert for Bangladesh. It features Badfinger member and George’s friend, Joey Molland who performed at the legendary concert held at Madison Square Gardens in August 1971.

The second half of the show sees Earl Slick, Tony Levin and Andy Newmark take to the stage together for the first time in this hugely anticipated ‘Lennon 1980’ headline show at the Philharmonic Hall on Friday 26th August.

All three musicians performed on John’s last studio album Double Fantasy as well as the sessions for what would become John’s Milk and Honey album. They never got to perform together live with John Lennon before his tragic death in 1980. Forty-two years on, the trio, joined by acclaimed actor and musician Mark McGann, will pay tribute to John in his own country and in particular his home city of Liverpool.

It will be an historic, nostalgic and fitting tribute to George Harrison and John Lennon.

Tickets are available directly from The Philharmonic Hall Box Office
